Any graduate of Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing is eligible for all privileges of active membership, including the right to vote and hold office upon the submission of a completed application and payment of dues established by the chapter. Friends and family of members are considered “Associate Members.”

The fiscal year of this chapter is from September 1st through August 31st of the following year. All dues and assessments of active members are payable on September 1st for the current fiscal year. Any member who fails to pay his/her dues by December 1st will not have any voting privileges. Upon payment of dues, voting privileges will be reinstated.

CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP 

*Optional $15 courtesy donation with your chapter dues (i.e. Benevolent, sick)

Life Members \ Annual Members  - College of Nursing graduate annual dues for the local chapter is $75 per person. 

New Members Joining - College of Nursing graduate annual dues for the local chapter is $75 per person. 

New Graduates - For new graduates earning their first bachelor’s degree, the Prairie View Nurses Alumni Chapter dues will be complimentary for the first year on completion of an application.  Complimentary Membership is good for only one year from the date of graduation.  Thereafter, annual membership dues are $75 per person for the local chapter.
 

Associate Members - Annual dues for an associate member are $75 per person with the submission of a completed application.  Any spouse, friend, parent, daughter and/or son of a Prairie View Nurses Alumni Chapter member may join as an associate member (i.e., not a graduate of the College of Nursing). Associate members are entitled to all rights and privileges of annual members, except the right to vote and hold office. 

Honorary Members

The Board of Directors of the chapter shall have the power to confer honorary membership on any person it deems worthy of the same, upon two-thirds majority voter of the Board of Directors. Persons who have provided distinguished service to the College of Nursing shall be given preferred consideration. Honorary members shall be entitled to all rights and privileges accorded annual members except the right to vote or hold office.
